2011-2012 year.
With nearly 60 years in operation, The Calgary Booster Club has woven itself into the fabric of our community, and continues to help support the finest athletic landscape in Canada. Often standing behind the scenes, our organization has endeavored to provide assistance to aspiring athletic champions, to recognize leadership that has made Calgary’s athletic programs so vibrant, and to celebrate athletic accomplishments in our city, both individual and collective.
Across many fields of play, and through various levels of competition, The Calgary Booster Club helps to affirm the value of Athletics and Sportsmanship, and to ensure that contributions toward the stability of our associations, teams and facilities receive the public acknowledgement they deserve. Our ability to continue in this regard depends on the valiant efforts of our volunteer Club Directors and the generous support from a variety of partners and donors, whom we thank very much. Plans for the 59th Annual Sportsman of the Year are already underway, and will be held on March 19th, 2012 at the Red and White Club. Please join us as we award this year’s Sportsman of the Year, present Calgary’s top male and female athletes of the year, as well as recognize a number of Honoured Athletic Leaders. If you happen to know someone who you feel should be considered for one of those awards, we encourage you to use our website to guide you through the nomination process!
As a Club, we congratulate everyone who participates in and supports Calgary Athletics, from the amateur competitors, young and old, to the student-athletes, professionals, coaches, administrators, officials, and family members, all of whom create opportunities for athletes to realize and maintain their potential.
