Calgary Booster Club Overhauls, Then Re-launches Its Website

It’s a new year and a new website for the Calgary Booster Club.

The well-established organization’s online home — www.calgaryboosterclub.com — has been undergoing a significant overhaul in recent months.

Now — thanks to the handiwork of Rob McLeod, the club’s digital media manager — it is ready for re-launch.

Which is very good news, especially since nomination season is about to open for the club’s many grants, scholarships, and volunteer-recognition awards. Because, along with the website’s improvements, the application process has been streamlined.

“The Calgary Booster Club has been actively involved within the sporting community for the past 67 years,” said president Carol Hermansen. “The launch of our our newly upgraded website will help all Calgarians in the sporting community understand the many opportunities made available to them through the club. The process of applying has been made much easier to ensure that all potential award winners can put their names forward.”

In addition to its updated appearance and ease of navigation, the website promises mobile-device friendliness.

“In our efforts to better service a contemporary, tech-savvy audience, the Calgary Booster Club recognized that this was a priority initiative; the new website incorporates the latest technology,” said Mark Kosak, the club’s vice-president of marketing. “For those less familiar with the Calgary Booster Club, it will enhance search engine optimization and integrates well with the Calgary Booster Club’s renewed presence on social media.”
