About LeRoy

For 40 years, LeRoy was a Calgary Booster Club director. He was named an Honoured Athletic Leader in 2002.

In the 1960s, he served as the Calgary Catholic School Board’s Representative and Supervisor of Health, Physical Education and Athletics. In that capacity, he also work as the Associate Director of Athletics for the CSHSAA, joining forces with John Mayell of the Public Board to form a successful partnership between the boards.

In addition to supporting the bid for the 1988 Winter Olympics, LeRoy initiated a motion with the Calgary Booster Club directorship to give women an opportunity to become members in 1995.
