About Don

For 34 years, Don was a teacher, coach, and administrator for the Calgary Catholic School District. His extensive coaching career included swimming, diving, volleyball, basketball, hockey, and cheerleading.

President of the University of Calgary Swim Club and the Lindsay Park Sports Society, Don also served as a board member for Swim Canada and Swim Alberta. As team manager he accompanied the national team to the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, 2007 World Championships, 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Volunteering with the Calgary Booster Club, Don handled the 2001-02 term as president. In 2021 he received the President’s Award.
