About Stan

Stan’s contributions are many, primarily to football. He played — at Mount Royal College and the University of Calgary — and coached locally at the high school and junior levels.

A long-time member of the CFL’s Stampeders, the Medicine Hat native is on the Calgary Bantam Football Wall of Honour and is a member of the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame. The Stamps put him on their Wall of Fame in the builders category.

Stan was named a 1999 Honoured Athletic Leader by the Calgary Booster Club. Five years later, he was recognized as its Sportsperson of the Year.
