About Kevin

Kevin began his teaching career in 1982 at Western Canada High School as a PE teacher and by the end of his 12 years there was also the department head. He moved to William Aberhart in 1995 as PE Curriculum Leader for 2 years and is now in charge of the Sports Medicine department and program there. His coaching career includes over 20 years of directing the badminton programs at these 2 schools and winning 13 straight Division I City Championships, which is very impressive. Kevin was the CSHSAA Badminton Chair for 17 years. He has also found time to host clinics for badminton coaches and players at HPEC workshops, and in his spare time has coached volleyball for 18 years; winning 7 City Championships and 1 Provincial Championship. In summary, this award has been named after a most worthy individual.
