Historical Moment: Doug Kyle and Stan Jaycock Honoured

At the Calgary Booster Club’s annual Christmas Party, two of the longest-serving Sportsmen of the Year were recognized for their outstanding contributions to amateur sport in Calgary and beyond.

Stan Jaycock was honored for his 41 years as a Booster Club SOY, while Doug Kyle was celebrated for his 53 years, making him the longest-serving Sportsman of the Year in the Club’s 70-year history.

To commemorate their dedication, both were presented with cherry wood plaques, engraved with the following tribute:

Congratulations on your many years as our Sportsman of the Year, exemplifying integrity and the values we cherish in promoting amateur sport in and around Calgary. Presented with gratitude to our two longest-serving Sportsmen of the Year in Booster Club history on this day, December 11, 2022.
