The Calgary Booster Club and the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association (CSHSAA) have partnered since 1956 in awarding grade 12 student athlete scholarships.
The CSHSAA was established in 1913 to provide competitive athletic opportunities for students in Calgary High Schools. The Association believes that the interscholastic athletic program, as a recognized part of the school program, is educationally sound and enhances the physical, mental, emotional and social development of young people.
The CSHSAA is unique in many ways, but is recognized nationally for its belief that the amalgamation of Calgary’s two educational systems into one common athletic association is in the best interests of the residents of Calgary. As such, the Calgary Board of Education and the Calgary Catholic School District have worked together harmoniously for decades. The Association and the Calgary Booster Club have partnered since 1956 in funding hundreds of student athletes scholarships based on academic and athletic excellence.
