About Allison

Allison is a native Calgarian who attended Sir Winston Churchill High School, the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary, where she received her Masters in coaching. She is married to Bill Bobenic and they are the proud parents of two daughters, Bryna and Lexa.

As a high school student in 1977 & 1979, Allison won the Girls Diving Championship in the Red Category which was for carded swimmers. She has been heavily involved since then with the CSHSAA, having been the chairperson of diving since 1985. Allison was obviously influenced by her famous father Eldon Godfrey, who has a long history as an official, administrator and builder in local, national and international Diving.

Her own record is equally impressive as she competed from 1975-1983 in Diving, along with coaching junior and senior teams for Canada from 1986-1992. Allison was also the Alberta Technical Director for Diving from 1990-1992 and the Vice-Chair of the Canadian Diving Association from 1991-1992.

Honoured Recipients

Starting in the 2016/17 school year, the scholarship awards program was revised, and each award was assigned to a specific school; to be awarded at the school, based on criteria set by the school. Additional scholarship awards were created at this time, so that all CSHSAA member schools had an award assigned to them to award to their students.
